The Mind and Therapy Clinic, PLLC is proud to welcome Preston Ellis as a master’s-level clinical mental health intern. Preston provides counseling services under the supervision of Rodrego Way, LPC-S, LCDC.

Preston is a dedicated mental health professional and educator who is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. He believes mental wellness is closely connected to everyday experiences, relationships, stressors, and personal growth.

His counseling approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. Preston works to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel empowered to heal, grow, and thrive.

As both an educator and counselor, Preston brings a unique perspective to his clinical work. He understands the importance of emotional wellness across all stages of life and works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Welcome Mark Tran, Master’s-Level Counseling Intern

The Mind and Therapy Clinic, PLLC is proud to welcome Mark Tran as a master’s-level counseling intern. Mark is currently completing his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas and provides counseling services under the supervision of Rodrego Way, LPC-S, LCDC.

Mark approaches counseling from an existential-humanistic perspective, emphasizing authentic living, personal autonomy, and the importance of understanding each client’s unique lived experience. He believes therapy should be a space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported as they navigate life’s challenges.

With a multicultural lens shaped by his upbringing in Irving, Texas, and his clinical training, Mark values the role of culture, identity, family of origin, resilience, and personal history in the therapeutic process.

Mark has experience in substance use treatment, eating disorder care, inpatient settings, and counseling through his graduate practicum. His clinical interests include working with young adults and individuals navigating identity, relationships, trauma, family dynamics, and life transitions.
