Who We Are

Founded in 2021 by Rodrego, LPC-S, LCDC, CCTP, The Mind and Therapy Clinic is a minority-owned, trauma-informed mental health practice rooted in Texas and serving clients across Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina. What began as a personal mission — to transform trauma into growth — has become a trusted therapeutic home for people seeking deeper healing, resilience, and lasting change.

At the heart of our practice is a simple belief: every person deserves a safe space to explore their inner world, process their experiences, and build the emotional strength to thrive. We specialize in trauma-informed care, supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate anxiety, depression, substance use, and the lasting impact of community, racial, and relational trauma. Our work blends evidence-based therapeutic modalities with culturally responsive insight, tailored to your story and your needs.

We treat therapy as a partnership — one where curiosity, honesty, and growth take center stage. Whether you’re reaching out for the first time or continuing a journey already underway, we’re here to walk beside you. Because healing isn’t just about surviving. It’s about building a life you feel connected to, confident in, and proud of.
